Congratulations to our first ever HTS Family Pumpkin Decorating Contest winners! First Place went to the Getty Family and their Frozen-themed pumpkin; Second Place went to the Mack Family and their unicorn pumpkin; and Third Place went to the Parks family and their pumpkin painted to look like their HTS student, Ariella. Thank you to ALL participating families - what incredible talent there is here at Holy Trinity School! Happy Halloween!
As they do each year, students in First Grade treated the student body to a "Parade of Saints' in honor of the November 1st feast of All Saints' Day. After researching and reading about their favorite saint, students dressed as the saint and presented to the congregation reasons why they are like that saint. The celebration is always a treat for all!
Our students have had a busy and fun fall enjoying all of the afterschool clubs and The Zone, made possible by the Morrisville School District 21st Century Community Learning Center grant and Holy Trinity School! Sculpty Clay, Pottery, Zumba, Snack Chef, Service Club, Field Hockey, CoderZ, Robotics - there is truly something for everyone!
Congratulations to the 7th and 8th Grade girls who participated in this year's Villa Joseph Marie High School Sciathlon. Our girls were strong competitors who represented our school well! Thank you to faculty moderators Mrs. Susan Smith and Ms. Kirsten Kuchera for accompanying the students.
Our PreK-B students concluded their unit on apples as they learned how to make (and eat!) apple muffins. The students recently visited an orchard where they learned how to pick apples. They also learned all about how harvested apples get from an orchard to the store for their families to buy. What a tasty way to wrap-up their first month of learning at our Children's Cottage!
As is tradition at Holy Trinity, Monsignor Eckert welcomed our students' pets during our annual Blessing of the Animals in honor of the upcoming feast of St. Francis of Assisi. We were visited by beloved furry, fuzzy, feathered, scaly, and shelled friends of all shapes and sizes!
Thanks to the 21st Century Community Learning Center grant and volunteer and Holy Trinity parishioner Arta Szathmary, Grade 5 girls are learning the language of computer science - coding! This four-week afterschool club is being taught by Mrs. Szathmary, who is a professor at both Villanova University and Bucks County Community College. Mrs. Szathmary advocates the "Girls Who Code" movement to promote interest in STEM education and careers for girls of all ages.
