Holy Trinity School Robotics Teams: Lego Legends, Robotic Rebels, and Bionic Brick Builders, participated in a virtual FirstLegoLeague competition against 25 other teams at LaSalle. Students had to design an innovation project to improve the shipping industry, as well as build and code a robot to complete a set of missions. Students presented their projects and worked together to answer tough questions from the judges! Great team work!

The money raised will support our Unbound sponsor child, Britney, who lives with her family in Ecuador. Who knew there were so very many elf accessories and outfits out there?!

The Holy Trinity School tradition of receiving a class ornament each year continued today at our annual "Milk & Cookies Ornament Exchange" - a school favorite! Thank you to all the parents who hand-made ornaments commemorating the children's year. By the time our students graduate, they will have nearly a dozen Holy Trinity ornaments!

Our students are having a wonderful time selecting special surprises for their families and friends this week at Holy Trinity's annual Santa's Secret Shop! Thank you to the many parent (and grandparent!) volunteers who helped with setup, shopped with our younger students, worked the cash register, wrapped the gifts, and contributed snacks for the bake sale - you truly helped make this Christmas season a memorable one for our students!

Our youngest students - PreK-3 to Grade 4 - ushered in Christmas week with Holy Trinity's annual Angel Pageant. The evening was filled with songs, poems, and a retelling of the birth of Jesus - a beautiful way to prepare for Christmas!

Our First Grade students were treated to a special Christmas Party thrown for them by the Conwell Egan Catholic High School community! The students played games, had a visit from Santa and the school mascot, made a craft, ate cookies and candy canes, sang songs, and listened to a Christmas story. What an enjoyable morning for the students and their teachers!

Great news at Holy Trinity!! At the District Meeting, Sister Margaret Rose Adams, IHM, Assistant Superintendent for Elementary Schools of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, presented Mr. McCusker with an Archdiocesan School of Distinguished Instruction Award! Based upon our Terra Nova Testing data from the Spring of 2021, Holy Trinity School earned recognition in BOTH categories: Growth and Potential. We are SO proud of the hard work of our students, teachers, and parents! Even in the midst of a national pandemic, virtual classes and lessons, and much uncertainty in our world, Holy Trinity School continues to shine! Congratulations to all!

As part of the school’s annual All Saints Day celebration, Holy Trinity School students from Grade 1 processed in full costume and explained to the congregation how they are similar to the saint they had chosen to portray. This took place during Monsignor Eckert's All Saints Day prayer service for the student body. Saints Agatha of Sicily, Frances Cabrini, Catherine Drexel and Francis of Assisi were among the many saints represented.

In keeping with Holy Trinity tradition, Monsignor Eckert blessed our students' beloved pets in honor of the feast of St. Francis of Assisi. This year, while only furry, fuzzy, scaly, and feathered friends of the stuffed variety could be physically present in the school, Monsignor was sure to convey a blessing to all of the students' pets who are waiting for them back at home.

Congratulations to our HTS Class of 2022, who were celebrated during this morning's annual Leadership Mass. At Holy Trinity, our 8th Grade students collectively lead our school in service to members of our school, parish, and local communities. Our safeties, lectors, altar servers, STARE Team, and school specialty aides were all recognized. Thank you to ALL of our students who so willingly take on the responsibilities of these leadership roles and to their faculty and parish moderators!

To celebrate their upcoming graduation, our 8th Grade students were treated to a surprise luau today, with the faculty and staff as guests. Everyone was treated to a specialty boxed meal from a visiting lunch truck and Goodnoe's Ice Cream as a special treat from Mr. McCusker. A long-standing Holy Trinity tradition - FUN DAY - was held this week! All students participated in exciting relays and skill games - Over-Under, Scooter Relay, Bucketball, to name a few. After two hours of competitive fun, the RED TEAM earned the most points and won this year's Fun Day competition! The student body celebrated the victory with a cool popsicle treat to end the day. Thank you to our Fun Day Committee and 8th Grade Class for making this truly fun day possible this year!

Our Intermediate Unit students - those in Grades 3, 4, and 5 - completed their unit of study on the United States with a parade through the hallways. Each student conducted research and then created a parade "float" to represent the most important aspects of their state including but not limited to (they were VERY imaginative and informative!) the state flag, bird, points of interest, and natural resources. What an engaging way to learn about our country!
